Al and I had a lovely day in the warm spring sunshine, back in April, taking some photos for Anna and Jim of their fabulous wedding. Daffodils were everywhere, and Cats Abbey, which had been decorated beautifully by Anna, was positively glowing.
I had rented the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L lens for the occasion as I had wanted to try it out for ages. It was every bit as heavy as I had feared, and although I got some lovely shots (especially in the extremely low light conditions in the registry office) I won't be rushing out to buy it. I've settled for the lighter and more versatile Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens instead - I figured that this was a useful walkabout lens as well, so will get much more use.
Here are a few of my faves. See my set on Flickr for more highlights.
