Tea, chat and a photoshoot: vintage bloggers hit Oxford

Vintage bloggers hit Oxford

I had such a fabulous day on Sunday. The lovely Candy Pop had organised a meet up of some bloggers, so I got to spend the day in the company of Hannah, Dina, Dulcie, Vicky and Natasha and talk blogs, photography, vintage outfits, life.....and eat lots and lots of cake!

The day started as all good days should with tea and cake. We met at the Jam Factoryin Oxford which was looking particularly lovely and colourful with the current Artweeks exhibition adorning the walls.

After a wander through the sunny Oxford streets we stopped for a photoshoot at the beautiful Christchurch College - such a stunning backdrop. I always find it fascinating to see how others approach photoshoots and set-up shots etc...so a huge thank you to Hannah and Dina for sharing their tips and letting me take their pics.

We then moved on to the Randolph Hotel for a fancy afternoon tea and more chat. Now being a coeliac I often miss out on such delights - but not this time. I have to say the Randolph put on a fine gluten free spread - I had 3 tiers of goodness all to myself (see picture immediately below). I haven't had a scone in years, so they were an extra special treat. Despite my best efforts, by the end of the afternoon I had still not even touched the cake tier, so the lovely staff at the Randolph very kindly packed up a goody bag for me to take home. If you've never been, I can highly recommend it!

And the day didn't end there - but that's another story and another post as I've already stuffed this one rather too full of pics!
