Well Happy Friday one and all! The sun is shining and we have a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend ahead of us - hooray! I hope you all have some lovely things planned. I thought I'd do something a bit different today - want to keep things interesting! So instead of the usual Etsy Treasury I thought I'd share a particular love of mine: vintage wallpaper.
I just love all the fabulous patterns and prints, especially the 60s and 70s florals. The background to my blog is actually a piece of vintage wallpaper :) I mount the wallpaper to pieces of A2 mountboard and then use it as backgrounds for my photography. It works a treat! Had fun and games, though, with my first attempts to mount it - see my earlier post on The magic of Mod Podge for details. I've bought most of my wallpaper from the lovely Ada Bea of Vintage Sheet Addict - she has such a fabulous selection - well worth a look! I also live in hope of finding a beautiful unused roll in a charity shop, but alas, none of the shops round here offer up such treasures - but I remain forever hopeful!
So here are some piccies of the mounted wallpaper - with a few of my plastic/china clan posing for added interest. Enjoy!
